In the Horsham authority's approved plan, the Bucks County Redevelopment Authority will work with the Navy to reach a negotiated sale and redevelop the area into a mix of 113 single-family homes and some twins.

Other parts of the plan involve Warminster obtaining 25 acres of woodlands at the south portion of the property that would be used partially for a storm water retention facility.

The Aldie Foundation, a drug and alcohol counseling center, will receive title to 20 townhouse units in Shenandoah Woods, via a "no-cost homeless assistance conveyance," which allows surplus military property to be transferred for free to qualified agencies. Aldie will take the proceeds from the sale of those units and use the funds for operations elsewhere.
